| Go out the south or new south exits of JR Shinjuku station and you'll see the antithetis of Kabukicho (for which you should take the east exit, FYI): Starbucks, Microsoft, Shinjuku Takashimaya, Kinokuniya bookstore and even an Eddie Bauer. Every Christmas the lights go up around this area making it one of the most fun places to go Christmas shopping. The bridge in the middle is one of the best spots to look over train tracks as Shinjuku station is one of the busiest in the world. |
