Wool on Hemp: The Style of Elegance/Splendid Intricacy and Handiwork

Considered national important tangible cultural properties, the Nanbu Maekake-Aprons are extraordinary works of art. Wool embroideries on hemp fabric, the combination of textiles is quite rare to locate throughout history.

Hand picked by the owner of a collection of nearly 800 pieces, Amuse Museum for the first time, will be displaying 37 pieces from Chuzaburo Tanaka's private collection.
