My name is Ai Uchida, COO (though some say “COO COO”) at Spinshell Inc. Half-Japanese and half-American, I am a tale of two cities; Tokyo and Seattle, with DC and NY thrown in for kicks.

My mother says she thought I would be a director when I grew up—as a child I made dozens of movies on our Hi-8 camera. I always thought I would be a singer—in my early 20’s I pursued a career in the music industry. I think I’m finally figuring out what I’m becoming—a story-teller. Whether visual, audio or in text, I am always after a good story. That is one reason why I started Spinshell.TV, because Tokyo is full of great stories and I wanted to have a multimedia platform to reflect that.

We have an amazing team of writers, videographers, editors, anchors, engineers, programmers, interns and even cute cuddley dogs. Many of them excel at more than one talent (yes, even the dogs). I hope through this blog and all the content throughout this website, we are able to tell you many good stories.
