OMG OMG OMG! The iPhone is finally hitting Japan on July 11th. Just 1 month to wait. The US price is $200 so I guess it’ll be about ¥22,000 or so. I wonder how much the Softbank plans are going to be though…

I am unsure if Apple is imagining that significantly ahead (though I could pretty properly be improper). I feel the main reason for 512×512 is so that the icon is often scaled all the way down to distinct resolutions devoid of artifacts.
